It’s time once again for the annual Grafton Reunion, where we meet to commemorate the town of Grafton and the people who lived there. Reunion attendance is FREE and open to the public.
We’ll gather at the usual time and location, just past the church/school house and Russell home on September 29 -- the last Saturday in September. In the event of rain, we may announce an alternative meeting place (the church in nearby Rockville has been used in the past).
Here’s the general outline for timing.
Visit the grounds and buildings on site
Official welcome and lunch -- bring your own picnic lunch and lawn chairs
The agenda is pretty free-form and could include:
- special announcements (Grafton Heritage Partnership, significant birthdays, passing of members of the Grafton community),
- short talks on Grafton-related topics or family histories,
- musical numbers,
- demonstrations related to pioneer lifestyle,
- memories of Grafton and its inhabitants, etc.
If you have items for the program, please respond to this Facebook post, and that information will be passed along.
Also, items will be available for purchase, at the reunion, to help raise funds for the Grafton Heritage Partnership (http://graftonheritage.org/).
Looking forward to seeing you in Grafton!
