1. North Pole Pines, Ogden, UT

North Pole Pines is a small Christmas tree farm in Ogden, Utah, run by the “Jolly Fat Man.” There’s no telling if he’s the real Santa Claus or not, but it is true that the farm produces some mighty fine scotch pines for your living room. Every year, the farm begins selling its trees on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. And you know the drill: first come, first served. 

2. Evans Family Farm, Lehi UT

A family-run, locally-owned business, Evans Family Farm aims to provide its customers with the best of every season. And while the farm is especially known for its produce and autumn pumpkins, it is also a great place to buy Christmas trees during the holiday season. If you take your family along with you to pick out the tree, the farm features myriad other attractions to keep the little ones entertained. 

3. Frederico’s Christmas Trees, Orem, UT

Frederico’s Christmas trees has a cult following in Utah Valley, and for good reason. The trees are high quality, the customer service is sincere and heart-warming, and the prices aren’t as steep as you’d expect. If you buy one of their trees this year, it’s likely picking out a tree at Frederico’s will become a quintessential family tradition.

Sun River Gardens is Orem’s top destination for all things yard and home décor. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Sun River’s beautiful, freshly cut Christmas trees sell out quickly. This year, the trees (which include noble fir, balsam fir, grand fir, Frasier fir, white fir) go on sale the day after Thanksgiving.

5. Peterson Trees, Elk Ridge, UT

What’s better than buying a freshly-cut Christmas tree from someone’s home in a beautiful, mountainside town? If you decide to purchase a tree from Peterson Trees, they’ll make you hot cocoa, provide a warm fire, and give you an awesome spot for a precious family picture. Peterson Trees sells white fir, black balsam, and pinyon pine trees, all in a variety of different sizes.

6. Baird Tree Farm, Heber City, UT

Baird Tree Farm is a no-fuss place to get your Christmas tree. The farm sells blue spruce trees which are slightly pricier than other varieties, but that are also absolutely stunning. Run by the Baird family of Heber City, the farm was started as a way to fund the Baird children’s future educations. That was in 1996. Now, the Baird family has seen the fruits of their labors. 

7. Willowcreek Tree Farms, Draper, UT

Willowcreek Tree farms sells a variety of tree species, including Austrian pine, bristlecone pine, Colorado blue spruce, and pinyon pine. The farm’s trees are mostly used for landscaping purposes, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t fair game for the holiday season. In fact, Willowcreek Tree Farms touts itself as one of the best places to buy a beautiful Christmas tree. In addition, if you’re looking for a place to take some Christmas photos with your family, Willowcreek may be the perfect spot. 

8. Double D’s Christmas Trees, South Ogden, UT

At Double D’s Christmas Trees, you can get a bulwark of holiday decoration and gift shopping done in one place. Of course, Double D’s sells high quality Christmas trees, but they also sell a variety of other Christmas related items in their on-site boutique! 

9. Petersen Family Farm, Riverton, UT

Not to be confused with Peterson Trees in Elk Ridge, Petersen Family Farm is the pinnacle of festive aesthetic and holiday spirit. Any time of the year is a treat at Petersen Family Farm, but autumn and winter are undoubtedly the farm’s best seasons.
