The Relief Society Building is the world headquarters for three of the LDS Church's auxiliary organizations: Primary (children's organization), Young Women (12-17 years) and Relief Society (adult women). The building was constructed in 1956 using funds donated by LDS women. The Relief Society was founded in 1842 by the prophet Joseph Smith and is the oldest women's organization in the world. Visitors can go to the resource center located in the lower level of the building and see various displays focused on strengthening the family.
