Mission Statement

The Kimball Art Center is the heart of Park City's historic and vibrant arts community. We are a non-profit center for the arts, committed to engaging individuals of all ages in diverse and inspiring experiences through education, exhibitions and events.

EEO Policy:

Kimball Art Center (KAC) is an Equal Opportunity employer. As such, KAC will not discriminate in the hiring, compensation, promotion, discipline and termination of employees based on their race, religion, sex, gender identification (an individual's internal sense of one's own gender), sexual orientation, age, color, national origin, disability, veteran status, income, or any other category or classification protected by applicable federal and local laws.

Our History:

Much like Park City itself, the only constant for the Kimball Art Center in its history is its location. As the Park City community has evolved through the years, the Kimball has mirrored its change, evolving into a world class community art center and the city's cultural hub.

In 1976, arts enthusiast Bill Kimball - along with support from members of the Park City community - transformed the dilapidated garage into a non-profit community center for the visual arts. Since that time, the Kimball has served art lovers in the Park City area by providing top quality exhibitions and events. Today the Kimball stands at the literal center of a year-round resort community which plays host to world-class events.

In 2001 the Kimball enjoyed an extensive face-lift and refurbishing thanks to General Motors, who leased the building for its hospitality program for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. Since the Olympics, the Kimball has offered itself up as an A-list facility for special events of every scale imaginable.

Today the Kimball hosts a variety of activities to serve both artists and art enthusiasts in the Park City area. The Kimball showcases a variety of exhibitions ranging from national exhibitions of historical significance to shows featuring up and coming local artists. The Kimball also offers a full lineup of workshops and classes to educate artists of all ages in a wide range of mediums. Additionally, the Kimball hosts the Park City Kimball Arts Festival - Utah's original, longest running visual arts festival - attracting over 40,000 people from around the country.

The Kimball Art Center offers something for art lovers of all ages. Stop in and visit us, and discover for yourself the new Kimball and its wonders inside and out!
