Riverton Town Days Celebration

Join us for the 2023 Riverton Town Days celebration!

The Riverton Town Days celebration offers days full of fun! Town Days brings together thousands to honor America's independence and to celebrate our community. This long-standing tradition is a favorite among both new and old residents and can be counted on for cherished memories year-after-year. Town Days kicks off each year with the Riverton Rodeo and includes favorites like the parade, movie in the park, carnival, chuckwagon breakfast, bingo, children's contests, fireworks, and much more!

Schedule:

6:30am: Flag Raising Ceremony - Free and open to all.
Start Independence Day off right by attending Riverton's annual flag raising ceremony. The flag raising will be presented by the American Legion Post 140 and remarks will be provided by Mayor Trent Staggs. The national anthem will be sung by TBD.

7:00 - 10:00am: Chuckwagon Breakfast - Riverton City Park, Large Pavilion
Whether you ran a country mile, attended the flag raising ceremony, or just love a good breakfast, you'll want to make sure you wake up with a big appetite. Riverton's Chuckwagon Breakfast has become famous for its outstanding food, prepared and served by appreciated resident volunteers, city staff, and city elected officials.

8:00am: 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament Begins - Riverton City Park, Basketball Courts (northwest corner of park)
Get your team together and come play some basketball during Riverton's annual Town Days celebration! This tournament will be either round robin with a single elimination bracket or a double elimination bracket depending on how many teams register. Registration is by team, so only one person from your team will need to register. Prizes will be given to the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place teams! Pre-registration is required.

8:30 - 11:30am: Free Swimming - South County Pool
The young and young-at-heart look forward to splashing good fun each year with a morning of free swimming at the South County Pool.
Details: Free and open to all. All swimmers must exit at 11:30 a.m. Those who wish to continue swimming will need to pay the standard fee.

10:00am: Cornhole Tournament Begins - $20 per team
Pair up and come play in the Town Days Cornhole Tournament! Recreational or competitive divisions are offered. Ages 13+ welcome. Number of teams limited, so register early! Winning teams will receive a prize.

The Riverton Town Days carnival is provided by Brown's Amusements. This year's carnival will feature many rides!

12:30 - 4:15pm: Children's Activities
Town Days is a blast for the kids! We have fun activities like the gunny sack race, hula hoop contest, family relay, haystack dive, and more!
Registration: FREE to participate. Registration not required. Ages 12 and under welcome.

Activity Schedule: Start times are approximate for most activities, so we recommend just showing up at 12:30 p.m. The Haystack Dive will begin at 3:45 p.m.

Bingo at Riverton Town Days is a can't-miss event! Lucky winners walk away with excellent prizes. Seating is limited. Come early to make sure you get a seat.
FREE to participate. Registration not required. Ages 13+ welcome.

1:00pm - 5:00pm: Pickleball Grand Rally - Free to participate
New Grand Rally format this year! No registration needed. Bring your Pickleball partner and keep playing as long as you keep winning. Lose twice and you will need to start back over. Two courts for beginners and two for advanced players.

10:00pm: Fireworks - Free
Come enjoy a patriotic firework display as we celebrate Independence Day! We have plenty of room at the Riverton City Park for everyone to watch this awesome patriotic display. Bring your own chairs or blankets to sit on. Come early to listen to the evening concert prior to the fireworks.
